Nobody is interested in my NFT art that I have framed.

The Growing Trend of NFT Art

A framed NFT video of Stephen Curry wiggling his shoulders is sitting on a kitchen counter. It’s a sight that leaves people, even the most devout Curry fans, unfazed. For an onlooker, it may appear to be a never-ending loop of Curry launching a bomb against Dallas in February 2021, followed by his famous shoulder wiggle. Some see it, but little is understood about it.

The Enigma of NFT Art

What exactly is an NFT? An NFT, or non-fungible token, certifies unique bits of code that are exchanged through cryptocurrency. However, the question that arises is whether someone owns the art itself, the certificate for that art, or both. The person who possess the framed Steph Curry highlight is equally confounded by this puzzling question.

The Token Gadgets

Various hardware makers are capitalizing on the NFT trend, providing frames to display these unique digital art pieces. These frames are sleek and sturdy, selling for hundreds or even thousands of dollars, and exist purely for the purpose of showcasing the newly acquired art.

Evolution of Display Technology

Joe Saavedra, the founder and chief executive of Infinite Objects, spoke in February about how the company has a unique take on the approach to display technology. They are redefining video as something collectible and treasured, aiming to elevate its significance in the world of NFT art.

Uniqueness of Infinite Objects

Unlike traditional photo frames, Infinite Objects’ frames are unchangeable, akin to the nonfungible nature of NFTs. These frames can be ordered with either an NFT video or regular non-blockchain art. Once framed, the art is permanently displayed, demonstrating the unique connection between physical and digital art.

The Cost and Demand for NFT Frames

Infinite Objects’ frames, offering a range from $79 to $450, are considered relatively affordable in comparison to other NFT frames in the market. The priciest item on their site is a $600 video of Elon Musk, Grimes, and their baby X Æ A-12. Other entities like Lago and Tokenframe NFT Display are offering bigger, high-quality frames, priced at $4,500 and $2,777 respectively.

Blowing Minds with NFT Frames

A niche market has evolved around NFT frames, with Lago offering a 33-inch display at $4,500, alongside a gesture camera for an extra $500. Tokenframe presents a 32-inch display at $999, while a larger 55-inch Tokenframe costs $2,777. These products are pushing the boundaries of the traditional art world, showing a unique combination of art and technology.
